We are honoured to have been appointed as the contractor responsible for overseeing the exhumation of the First Roman Catholic Bishop of the Diocese of Nottingham, Bishop Robert Wilson. The Bishop was buried within the crypt of St Barnabas, Nottingham. Works involved respectfully locating and exposing the Bishop's coffin ready for him to be exhumed and transported to his final resting place in Tasmania, Austraila. Once the Bishop was safely exhumed we undertook works to reinstate the area, this included sourcing and retiling the floor with a similar natual tile as orginally used at the time of the Bishop's burial. In addition to this a plaque was inset within the area to mark where the Bishop's resting place was within the crypt.
